The aim was to showcase the great work done by the women of the Community College Sesvete, Croatia, who organized themselves and started hand-made production of jewellery with the goal of protecting non-agricultural products from Croatian rural areas.

RUMRA Vice-chair Jozo Radoš (ALDE, Croatia) launched the exhibition by welcoming the participants and  introducing RUMRA. His speech was followed by contributions form RUMRA Vice-chair Franc Bogovič (EPP, Slovenia), Isabella de Monte (S&D, Italy), Rapporteur for the INI report on “New challenges and concepts for the promotion of tourism in Europe” and Vjekoslava Damjanović, representative of the delegation of Community College Sesvete.

The exhibition afforded the opportunity to highlight the wider issues of rural women’s entrepreneurship and European rural tourism. Thanks to its central location in the European Parliament it attracted a lot of interest from passers-by.
